Obesity is a growing health problem some health experts call an epidemic. Some 32.7 percent of U.S. adults 20 years and older are overweight, 34.3 percent are obese and 5.9 percent are extremely obese. Obesity raises the risk of diabetes, some cancer, heart problems and other diseases, and it reduces sexual function.
