Wireless America: 56%

A new survey finds 56 percent of Americans have at some point used wireless means for online access. Here's the details, from the Pew Research Center:

  • People have gotten online wirelessly using:
  • Laptops: 39 percent
  • Cell phone or smart phone: 32 percent
  • Desktop computer: 12 percent
  • PDA and the like: 7 percent
  • iPod or mp3: 5 percent
  • Kindle or other e-book: 1 percent

The survey was conducted in April and released this week.
