Bao Xishun is 7-feet, 9 inches tall. But he may soon lose his title as World's Tallest (living) Man to Zhao Liang of China, who got measured when he went to the doctor for — surprise! — a foot injury operation. Photos show him with his leg in a brace. Get this: Zhao Liang's dad is 5-foot-9 and his mom just 5-foot-5.
Neither compares to Robert Pershing Wadlow, the 8-foot-11 Illinois man who died in 1940.
A wee bit of irony: Wadlow died as the result of a septic blister on his ankle that was caused by a brace that had been poorly fitted a week earlier.
