Meteor Crater once played a major role in America's moon program as Apollo astronauts trained here for their moon missions in the late 1960s and early 1970s. An actual Apollo test capsule is on display for all to enjoy and marvel at the accomplishment of those brave spacemen.

Meteor Crater is one of the many great natural attractions found in northern Arizona. It is the best-preserved meteor crater on Earth and a perfect spot to stand and imagine the cataclysmic event that once occurred here.
