Archaeologist Studies Ancient Food for Thought

Natalie Munro, excavating the grave of a unique woman interpreted as a shaman at Hilazon Tachtit Cave, Israel. The grave contained the remains of at least 71 tortoises that were feasted on by humans as part of the burial ritual.
