Earthquake Strikes Los Angeles Area

An earthquake of preliminary magnitude 4.1 struck today in the Los Angeles area, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

The temblor's epicenter was 29 miles (46 km) miles east-southeast of downtown Los Angeles and 2 miles (3 km) north-northeast of Yorba Linda, Calif. It originated about 5 miles (8km) deep, the USGS reports.
