Marcus Atkins

MSc. Student, Environmental Science, Thompson Rivers University

Marcus Atkins is a master's student in environmental sciences at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, British Columbia. As part of his research, he is conducting a population and behavioral ecology study of Western Rattlesnakes in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia. The team hopes to better understand population declines and how these animals are coping with climate change, urbanization, human disturbance and other threats to their livelihood. Atkins also serves as an expedition leader for Natural Habitat Adventures/World Wildlife Fund.
