Carlo G. Camarda is currently a researcher at the French National Institute for Demographic Studies (INED) and head of the Mortality, Health, and Epidemiology research unit. He was previously a researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research (Germany). He received his initial university education at Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), before continuing his studies at the Laboratory of Statistical Demography at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research (Germany). He earned his doctorate in the Department of Statistics at Carlos III University of Spain.
