Rivers Rise as Winter's Snow Melts

As spring's start approaches, the snowfall left by winter's monster storms is melting, causing rivers to swell with meltwater.

The Advanced Hydrological Prediction Service of the U.S. National Weather Service has reported major flooding along the swollen Ohio River, in Grand Chain, Illinois, and moderate flooding in Cairo, Illinois, and Paducah, Kentucky.
