The Guinness World Records title of most "likes" on a Facebook post during a 24-hour span could soon belong to a cookie.
Nabisco, the company that produces Oreos, is asking fans of its chocolate and cream cookie to help it set a Guinness World Record by "liking" one of the Facebook posts on its official account's wall. The clock is running, with the post made at 9 a.m. EST today.
Oreo reportedly needs at least 45,000 people to click the "like" button under its post, and with nearly 49,000 thousands "likes" already, it seems well on its way to gaining the title.
If Oreo officially wins the record, it will also gain the title of being the first brand to hold a Facebook Guinness World Record. And if it doesn't set the record? Well, that's the way the cookie crumbles.
