1st case of new SARS-like virus in US

A new coronavirus from China has now arrived in the United States, officials announced today.

The new SARS-like virus that's causing an outbreak in China has now arrived in the United States, officials announced today (Jan. 21).

Officials from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said they had detected the virus  — a new type of coronavirus — in a man in Washington state.
