North Korea's cheerleaders have become heartthrobs in South Korea due to their beauty, talent and graceful manners. But, like their mysterious communist homeland, they are separated from the world wherever they go.

Late to the party

Following the strained talks between North and South Korea on Jan. 9, 2018, the International Olympic Committee extended the registration deadline for North Korean athletes. North Korea offered to send their delegation of over 200 athletes, cheerleaders, performers and government officials.
