RRecent research at the University of California, Berkley, suggests that mountain lions are far more social than previously thought. Through the aide of camera traps in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, biologists captured video evidence of female mountain lions sharing food at a variety of kill sites. The videos represent some of the first evidence of social interaction and cooperation between these large, evasive predators. More opportunities are just waiting for the next generation of research biologists to discover the true and complete story of the lifestyle of the mountain lions of the Americas.
