In rare attack, dingo repeatedly bites and holds girl underwater. (Luckily she survived.)

The 6-year-old girl is in a stable condition following the attack by an untagged male dingo while she was swimming on K'gari, or Fraser Island, Queensland, Australia.

Dingo (Canis dingo) attacks are uncommon but often result from people leaving scraps of food lying around or feeding the wild dogs.
