John R. Shaffer

John R. Shaffer is an assistant professor and Vice chair of Human Genetics, as well as an assistant professor of Oral and Craniofacial Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health.  His research uses statistical and bioinformatics techniques to identify genetic contributors to common complex human diseases. He holds a PhD from the University of Pittsburgh and a B.S. in biology from The Pennsylvania State University.
