Holocaust Survivors' Musical Recordings Discovered | Video
By Steve Spaleta |
Researchers recently discovered a long lost recording of songs sung by Holocaust survivors. The recording, made in 1946, includes Yiddish and German songs sung by survivors at a refugee camp in Henonville, France. Before the researchers could play the recording, they had to find a wire recorder on eBay and then repair it. They shared the 71-year-old recordings with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C., whose staff translated the songs.
