Melting Glaciers Reveal Morraine
French archaeologist Jean Clottes photographed this 6,000 – 9,000 year-old engraving of giraffes at Dabous Rock in Niger. Slightly larger than life size, the engravings are roughly 20 feet high. Additional images of the rock art and information about its preservation can be found here.
