Driven by two little battery-powered propellers, the Flying Fish is able to plough through choppy seas and take off in just 10 meters, or about 33 feet. The craft is about the size and weight of a large seabird, wighing in at around 20 pounds and sporting a 2-meter wingspan. It performs like a seabird too, climbing steeply and able to perform steep turns, climbs and descents. The Flying Fish is aerobatically agile as well, performing rolls and loops while being remotely controlled by an experienced pilot. Credit: University of Michigan
