Fish Use Clever Mating Trick...
At Dinosaur National Monument in Utah, some half-buried dinos remain on display for curious visitors.
The fossil quarry yielded more than 2,000 specimens that were once buried in an ancient river channel bed. Archaeologists determined their discoveries had been "played out" around 1991, prompting park officials to put the site on display.
Although mostly exhausted of bones, some fossils were left in their original setting as they provide information that might otherwise be lost by their removal. Shown here are bones from an Apatosaurus—once known as Brontosaurus—attached to the original fossil bed.
