Fear the Flu: What You Can Do

Round 2 of Swine Flu is just getting started, with a "big influx" of new cases expected this fall, said Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano.

Thing is, a vaccine still isn't ready.

Already there have been 550 deaths in the United States from H1N1 (aka Swine Flu), but that's a small number compared to the 36,000 average annual death toll from seasonal flu. But now experts are saying up to half the population could get this bug, which might kill up to three times the number who typically succumb to seasonal flu.

One nagging concern: This flu strain has proved deadlier among young, healthy people than other flu strains. A new study, however, says fears may be overblown and the virus may not turn much deadlier than it already has been.

Universities are sending flu-infected students home in some cases or setting up quarantines. Emory University officials in Atlanta moved 50 infected students into a separate dorm.

Here's what you can do: Wash your hands, a lot, keep your hands away from your face, and sneeze into your elbow.
