Quake Strikes Gulf of California

A powerful earthquake measuring magnitude 6.9 struck the Gulf of California today. It was centered 76 miles (122 km) from Santa Isabel, Baja California, Mexico and about 331 miles (533 km) southeast of Tijuana. There were no early reports of damage or injury, however.
