CEOs Remain in Jet Set

We can't think of a good "schm..." word to rhyme with recession, so we'll just jump right into this one:

While you might be planning a staycation this summer or driving to a destination instead of flying, a lot of CEOs in America are jetting around plenty.

The value of CEO airplane perks was higher in 2008 than in any of the past five years, with 79.2 percent of Fortune 100 companies allowing personal use of corporate planes. It's partly about safety, companies say.

True enough, despite recent high-profile airline accidents, flying as far safer than driving (safer than ever, in fact), and if you have a high-priced, talented CEO, you want him or her safe. But did we note that it's a perk?
