I may not have ever seen anything myself, but I know that dismissing something based on a single occurence, or in this case, a single nonoccurence, is incredibly unscientific.

Blackcloud161, just what definitive proof are you looking for? People go into these places to try and find out whats going on. Sometimes they come out with odd readings and various things that dont have much explanation, sometimes they dont find anything at all. But either way, they are usually rediculed by alot of people, scoffed at by the scientific community in general, and what ever data they may have taken is not looked at seriously. Even though odd things have been observed and recorded, people still want more proof. Just how much proof do you want? One of the foundations of science is that things should be repeatable. In this case they usually never are, they are random at best.
This is exactly like UFOs, until one comes and lands on the lawn of the whitehouse, some people will never beleive regardless of how much evidence there is. Or in this case until a ghost decides to tell people it wants to be on camera and give an interview. close(-)

I agree with netdragon. It will take the landing of a craft on the lawn of the whitehouse(or somewhere else suitably public) before it will be believable by lots of people. At this point in time, there is no evidence stating that there is no possible way they could be here. We have first hand accounts and such, but those only go so far.

For some people what has been observed so far is enough for them to believe, for others it is not. close(-)

I dont think more regulation will help stop unneeded access, just look at prohibition of current illegal drugs, its a complete failure; not that regulation is prohibition.
Instead people need to take more responsibility and doctors need to look at ways which dont involve drugs. Or perhaps use hemp/cannabis. Marijuana treats alot of stuff better then the prescription drugs do. close(-)

Living a long time would be nice, but not if you age at a regular human pace. Living forever needs to be paired with not aging past 30 or something.
As for working forever, I doubt that you would have to because after a certain point, you have enough money to invest and then live off that. Of course then you could lose it etc like today. However a good thing to point out on this is that one day you wont need to work much, if at all, because of technology. So at that point, money becomes irrelevant.
The one question I have on this is the memory capacity of the human brain. After a certain point, I think it would actually start to fill up where you would forget something in order to learn something new. close(-)
