The Wirefly X Prize Cup is off and running…a brisk morning here. Cloudfree and beautiful. A ribbon cutting ceremony has officially opened the two-days of rocketry.

All is ready for the first flight of the Armadillo Aerospace Lunar Lander Challenge hardware as the Sun rises here. Crowds continue to scoot into the grounds, landscaped by all kinds of rockets and related space hardware.

XCOR Aerospace is busy this morning shooting off a rocket engine to the roar and delight of onlookers.
