Today’s date of April 5, 2006 means there’s only 57 more years until we Earthlings make First Contact with the extraterrestrials!  StarTrek.com proudly proclaims that on April 5, 2063 Zeframe Cochrane tested his warp drive and shortly thereafter made contact with those crazy Vulcans.

Remember to keep those telescopes pointing upwards.
