As their name suggests, hammerheads have flat, broadly T-shaped heads that look like a double-headed hammer or an ax. One eye and one nostril are found on each end of their oddly shaped heads, which they must swing from side to side in order to see where they are swimming. Hammerheads can grow up to 18 feet long and are found in oceans worldwide.
