New Baby Otter
A grizzly bear enjoying the autumn foliage at the Bronx Zoo.
This bear is one of four given to the zoo by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service as part of a program where zoos adopt bears that have come in repeated conflict with humans and would otherwise have to be destroyed.
These bears had become habitual raiders of campgrounds in Montana.
In the field, WCS is working to reduce conflicts between bears and wildlife by educating humans how to "bear-proof" their surroundings.
