Oops! Dinosaur Teeth Sales are a Croc

The herbivorous teeth of Revueltosaurus callenderi. They were once thought to be from an ornithischian dinosaur, but new finds suggest they belong to a crocodilian ancestor.

One of the more common types of fossilized bone sold as dinosaur teeth turn out to be from ancient crocodiles, scientists said today.

The claim, if accurate, would force a rethinking of dinosaur evolution.
