Testing the Scientific Knowledge of Americans (Infographic)

A new Pew Research Center survey found that most Americans can answer basic questions about science topics such as astronomy and geology. Far fewer were able to answer other questions, such as what property of a sound wave determines loudness (amplitude), or what element is needed to make nuclear weapons (uranium).
