Eddie, an elderly sea otter at the Oregon Zoo, has arthiritis in his joints. In order to keep him active, his handlers have taught him to play basketball using a small hoop attached right above the water. Eddie is 15 years old, and male sea otters in the wild typically live 10 to 15 years (15 to 20 years for a female).
