The true science of love lies in the brain, not in the heart. Those in love have more neurotransmitters like dopamine and norepinephrine in their brain, drawing comparisons to the brains of people on cocaine. And the longer you are in love, the more these pleasure centers are stimulated, while areas that control pain and depression are less activated. As the video below says, we love being in love.
