Japanese researchers at the company Activelink are developing a robotic exoskeleton, called Power Loader. The researchers say the exoskeleton will enable to people to easily carry over 100 kilograms (220 pounds). The Power Loader is powered by multiple motors. The arms are very long, which makes the exoskeleton look somewhat unwieldy. The company says it is working on a more compact version for use in the reconstruction and decontamination of municipalities damaged by the accident at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.
