In today's crazy world, productivity is on the minds of many. Results of scientific research show that even in perfect conditions where sources of external distractions are limited, people are able to stay focused and concentrated at one particular task for no longer than a period of 30-60 minutes. Getting from A to Z on a task can often be the biggest barrier because of something called the Zeigarnik effect which states that people remember uncompleted or interrupted tasks better than completed tasks. Once you understand the basics of what makes you productive, you can figure out where you might need to improve your own systems.
