This video shows how a team of scientists and photographers photographed the President, the second largest tree on Earth, in Sequoia National Park for the latest issue of National Geographic Magazine. It is 247 feet tall and 3,200 years old. The trunk of the tree is 27 feet in diameter at the base. Photographs of the tree had to be taken in 126 parts and combined for the full-length foldout poster in the December issue of the magazine.
