Scientists from the University of British Columbia's Project Seahorse have released the first-ever footage of a little-known seahorse species, Hippocampus algiricus, commonly known as the West African seahorse. The footage of the brightly colored seahorse was captured off the coast of Senegal. The seahorse is typically caught by fisherman to export for use in Chinese medicine.
