A 17.7 foot Burmese python found in the Florida Everglades has been recorded as the biggest snake found in the state, scientists say. The snake weighed 164 pounds and carried 87 eggs in its oviducts, which is a state record. The discovery of the creature indicates that snakes are able to survive for a very long time without many natural predators in the Everglades. Such snakes could become a big predator in the Everglades, according to researchers.
