Japanese artist Isao Hashimoto has created a beautiful, undeniably scary time-lapse map of the 2053 nuclear explosions which have taken place between 1945 and 1998. A nuclear explosion occurs because energy is released very rapidly from a high-speed nuclear reaction. The explosion can sometimes cause mushroom cloud and leaves behind radioactive debris which can be lethal in high doses .
